Havas Media’s global LG win eases blow of Singapore losses
Media agency Havas Media has landed a large chunk of Seoul-based electronics giant LG.
The global win – which emerged from the US yesterday – will be welcome news for Havas Media in Singapore, which has lost a string of accounts in recent months including property developer Far East Organization, Temasek Holdings and Sentosa Resorts World.
The LG account, which Havas now shares with Mindshare, is estimated to be worth $400m globally. But Havas Media would not comment on how much the business is worth in Asia.
Havas Media is an agency in transition, having recently scrapped MPG to consolidate the brand under one name.
Yesterday, the agency announced the hire of client marketer Riadi Sugihtani to replace Achie Francia Munar to run its Indonesian operation.
