BT regional CMO Ruth Rowan to chair Marketing Society of Hong Kong
Ruth Rowan, regional CMO of BT, is to chair the newly formed Marketing Society of Hong Kong.
Rowan will be supported by Guy Parsonage, head of independent creative agency Fluid, who is vice-chair. Former Leo Burnett and Y&R executive Katharine Schäfli is the organisation’s director.
The Marketing Society, a club for marketers originally born out of the UK, is launching in Hong Kong with founding members Tiffany, Fedex, Datatrade, Ogilvy, Publicis, LinkedIn, HSBC, Hong Kong Jockey Club, UBS as well as Fluid and BT.
Parsonage told Mumbrella: “The launch of the Marketing Society in Hong Kong allows us to broaden the reach of this amazing organisation, giving us marketeers the chance to meet socially with the purpose of sharing ideas and learning in an informal yet informative way.”
“I am really excited about the Society coming to Hong Kong as it fills a need I could see in the market, we are looking for more people to join as founding members to help shape the Society in Hong Kong and then we will be having a formal launch later in the year.”
The Society is open to both agency and client members.
