Golin Harris wins Florentia Village China PR duties

PR agency Golin Harris has reported winning the consumer and corporate public relations account for Chinese luxury designer outlet Florentia Village.

The announcement:

SHANGHAI (July 2014) – Florentia Village, China’s first luxury designer outlet has appointed Golin as their communications agency of choice, tasked with both consumer and corporate communication.

This follows a recent competitive review process involving three other consultancies. Florentia Village – Jingjin Luxury Designer Outlets which opened in 2011, is China’s first authentic Italian outlet village and promises Chinese consumers the ultimate shopping experience. With over 200 of the most famous Italian luxury brands together with premium international and Chinese designs, Florentia Village offers elite products at irresistibly discounted prices all year around. The successful opening of Florentia Village – Jingjin Designer Outlets marks a trajectory of robust growth.

By the end of 2014, Florentia Village – Shanghai Luxury Designer Outlets is scheduled to open, located between Pudong International Airport and Shanghai Disneyland. Plans are also underway to establish a further eight additional outlets throughout China by the end of 2017.

Commenting on Golin’s appointment, Florentia Village Marketing Director Fiona Wang said: “We were impressed by Golin’s understanding of the consumer landscape in China and their creative approach.

They have a reputation for driving awareness and support for commercial properties in China and we’re confident that they will achieve the same for us, establishing Florentia Village as a top luxury outlet destination in China.”

Golin’s appointment is driven by the group’s business ambition to nurture awareness and firmly establish its position as a premier shopping destination in China. Work, which is already underway, will conclude on December 31. It includes a digital element and elevated traditional consumer marketing to maximize media exposure and drive footfall to the shopping property, while also enhancing awareness for tenants and business partners.

“We are proud to be working with Florentia Village. Our prior experience makes this a perfect fit, while our unique G4 approach will allow us to strike a chord with local consumer audiences.” said Sarah Chin, vice president and general manager, consumer brand communication, Golin China. “We are gearing up for an exciting campaign over the next six months”, she added.
