Leo Burnett has appointed client-side marketer Danny Mok to run its offices in mainland China.

Mok has joined as China CEO after a year and a half as CMO of Hong Kong mobile brand CSL. He replaces Donald Chan, who has abruptly left the agency, Campaign reported earlier today. Leo Burnett’s Shanghai office confirmed the news.

Chan, who was group CEO of Leo Burnett China, was handed additional duties running Leo Burnett Hong Kong in September last year, after long-serving China boss Eddie Booth retired. At that time, Leo Burnett’s APAC boss Jarek Ziebinski was given additional responsibility for China.

Before joining CSL, Mok was CEO of Grey Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was assistant GM at BBDO Hong Kong.
