Pixels wins online ad contract for iQIYI

PixelsHong Kong-based digital agency and sales house Pixels has landed an online advertising sales contract for iQIYI, an online video streaming platform in China.

Hong Kong, April 27, 2015: Pixels, the multi-screen advertising company is pleased to announce that iQIYI, a leading Chinese online video streaming platform has granted it exclusive advertising sales rights in Hong Kong including Macao. The two companies will explore new opportunities by empowering Hong Kong advertisers to forge a strong emotional connection with their audience through online video. iQIYI is first in the industry to launch a multi-screen video platform strategy, enabling video service across various devices including connected TVs, PCs, mobile phones and tablets. In addition, using Baidu’s Big Data, iQIYI can analyze Baidu’s user data to offer precise targeting to advertisers on iQIYI.

According to a recent 2014 PWC report, digital advertising in Hong Kong is growing exponentially and is forecasted to grow at a 12.2% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) between 2013 and 2018. It is forecasted that by 2018, 33% of all advertising spends will be on digital. The bright spot being in online video. In the latest HK2A’s/Nielsen 2015 ad spend report, 64% advertisers indicated that online video advertising being one of the hottest trends this year.

Advertising opportunities include the popular pre-roll video is available for all content with keyword, gender, search behavior and content targeting.

Sponsorships are available for self-produced and licensed content, and iQIYI will produce more video content in the coming years. Different forms of sponsorship can be used, such as title sponsorship, and product placement can provide flexible opportunities for advertisers to make plans for future projects.
