Agency creates dog poo colour chart app

Tribal Worldwide China has created an app that allows dog owners to check the colour of their dog’s faeces.


Called Pootone, the app for dog food brand Fish4Dogs also comes in printed form and is designed to help dog owners monitor their pooch’s health.

“Thousands of dogs were saved as their problems were discovered early,” the narrator says in the case video, which was uploaded to DDB APAC’s YouTube channel last week.

According to the video, 500,000 sheets of Pootone were printed and given free to dog owners.

“Most Pootone users now prefer Fish4Dogs because they learned a valuable lesson: good in, good out,” the narrator reads at the end of the video, which featured veterinarians giving testimony about the usefulness of the app.

The agency says it is entering the app in the innovation category at the Cannes Lions, which will take place later this month.
