Singapore Airlines flies disabled passengers for the first time in SG50 ‘Joy of flying’ campaign

SIA filmSingapore Airlines has given disabled passengers the chance to fly for the first time in a campaign around Singapore’s 50th birthday celebrations.

A short film posted in social media centres on the experience of 11 year-old Bo Sheng Tan and 67 year-old Teo Yoke Teo, who take their first ever flight on an Airbus A380, where they, along with 300 others chosen by social services NGO Community Chest, were entertained by SIA’s cabin crew.

“Making dreams take flight. Just one of the lengths we go to,” the video reads, which since it was uploaded to Facebook on Friday has been viewed almost 400,000 times and shared 6,400 times.

The campaign, devised by Singapore Airlines’ social agency Dentsu Mobius, carries the hashtag #SG50withSIA.
