APD appoints new board members

Digital marketing company APD has announced new member of its executive board, bringing in Laura Ashton and Mark Dalgleish.

David Sweet has retired from the board.

The announcement:

SINGAPORE, 6 AUGUST 2015: Asia Pacific Digital Limited, the ASX-listed 360 degree digital services firm whose APD subsidiary is active across the Asia Pacific region, has announced today the new members of its Board, Laura Ashton and Mark Dalgleish, and the retirement of David Sweet, a longstanding Non-Executive Director.

These appointments bring both client and service provider experience to the table.
Laura Ashton is the Singapore-based Head of Asia Pacific and Global Relationship Marketing at A.T. Kearney, a leading global management consulting firm with offices in more than 40 countries.

Throughout her 30-year career, which includes 18 years in Asia, Laura has held marketing and leadership roles at national, regional and global levels in diverse industries including consumer packaged goods, advertising, downstream energy, consumer durables, electronics and professional services.

Mark Dalgleish is a Sydney-based digital marketing entrepreneur with more than 25 years’ experience in marketing and communications. Mark has previously built and sold two market-leading digital businesses in the UK and Australia, which were subsequently acquired by international advertising and marketing groups Interpublic and Enero.

“Laura and Mark have significant international experience as both clients and suppliers of marketing and technology services. The combination of Laura’s client-side leadership across diverse industry sectors, and Mark’s success in building and selling digital businesses, will greatly enhance the APD Board,” said Roger Sharp, Asia Pacific Digital Chairman.

“At the same time we thank David Sweet for his many years of service during the company’s transition from its previous telecoms-focused business model to becoming a leader in digital services across the region.”

A brief biography of the other board members follows:
Fionn Hyndman is Non-Executive Director, based in Singapore. Fionn is a Partner at APGM, a Singapore-based management consultancy and investment firm that advises multinational corporations including some of the world’s largest advertising agencies on their growth and digital strategies across Asia-Pacific. Previously he was CEO of dgm, the digital marketing business acquired by APD, and prior to that worked in senior digital roles in Singapore and the UK.
Peter Hynd is Chief Commercial Officer and an Executive Director, based in Sydney. He has nearly 20 years’ experience in financing and growing listed small caps and for the past 10 years has been a partner at North Ridge Partners, the regional technology investment firm that is APD’s major shareholder.
Roger Sharp is Executive Chairman and is based in Singapore. Roger has more than 30 years’ experience in building, running and financing technology companies. Prior to co-founding APD’s major shareholder North Ridge Partners in 2002, he held diverse banking roles including CEO of ABN AMRO Securities in Hong Kong and Global Head of Technology for ABN AMRO Bank in London. Roger chaired travel.com.au Limited (ASX: TVL) until its sale to Wotif.com, was a Non-Executive Director of Software of Excellence International Limited (NZX: SOE) before its sale to Henry Schein, Inc. and is currently a Non-Executive Director of Webjet.
