BBH and McCann take out five golds as Indian campaigns hit the spot at APPIES awards

BBH Asia and McCann Worldwide shared five gold awards at this year’s APPIES, with Indian campaigns dominating the top honours.

BBH Asia Pacific Singapore won a gold for its IKEA BookBook 2015 Catalogue work, while BBH India took out two golds for Marico’s Nihar Shanti Amla brand campaign and the Johnnie Walker The Journey marketing push.

McCann India picked up golds for Saffolalife World Heart Day – Protect Her Heart, and the Tukdon Pe Jeena Chhodo (Don’t live in bits and pieces) work for Saffola Masala Oats.

Campaigns from India captured seven of the 10 gold awards.

Chief judge of the APPIES, director of Marketing, Asia Pacific Lenovo, Sridhar Ramaswamy, said: “APPIES is all about recognizing the best in effectiveness of marketing. This year’s winners demonstrate that great marketing is created as much by agencies as by the brand owners. This collaboration is central to successful campaigns. “
