McCann Worldgroup China CEO Jesse Lin gets expanded role with wider APAC responsibilities

McCannn World Group chief executive Jesse Lin has been handed an expanded role with his appointment as vice chairman of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific.

The announcement:

McCann Worldgroup today announced that Jesse Lin has been promoted to Vice Chairman of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific and Chairman of MRM//McCann APAC. Lin continues to serve as CEO of McCann World group in China.

Said Harris Diamond, Chairman and CEO of McCann Worldgroup, “Jesse and his team in China have done a phenomenal job in building first-class creative and multidiscipline capabilities that have attracted both leading clients and top talent to our agency. Given our similar opportunities for growth throughout the region, I’ve asked him to expand his role and join our Asia Pacific regional leadership team.”

In his expanded McCann Worldgroup role, Lin will partner closely with Prasoon Joshi and Charles Cadell, respectively Chairman and President of McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific. Additionally, he will lead MRM//McCann in the region, working with MRM//McCann’s worldwide Chairman Bill Kolb and CEO Michael McLaren to drive accelerated growth by building on the strong foundation that already exists in key APAC markets including China, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines.

As CEO of McCann Worldgroup China, Lin has expanded an agency group that operates in four cities. Lin has over 20 years of marketing and communications experience in China, which includes having been an art director and a dot.com entrepreneur.
