Publicis agency Rokkan launches in Singapore

rokkan2Publicis Groupe-owned media and creative agency Rokkan is expanding into Asia Pacific with the opening of an office in Singapore.

The US-based agency, which sits in the Publicis Communications division, was acquired by the group in late 2012.

Publicis said the expansion follows “momentum from recent global work”.

Rokkan also won the global digital business for pearl brand Mikimoto, an account that will be handled from Singapore.

Publicis Communications chief executive Lou Dela Pena said: “Clients want to spend less time managing their agencies, and more time building on their brand and business.

“The addition of Rokkan Singapore only strengthens our ability to offer our clients the widest range of digital expertise and knowledge in the market, without worrying about how to integrate multiple agency relationships.”

The agency’s Asia Pacific expansion will be led by Chung Ng, chief experience officer and co-founder of Rokkan.

“We have been looking at the Asia-Pacific region for quite some time,” Ng said, adding there was a “huge opportunity” to make its mark in APAC.

Anthea Tang, Rokkan vice president of client partnership, will take the role of general manager for the new Singapore office.

Rokkan has offices in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
