Mobile ad tech firm Glispa launches in Singapore

GlispaGlispa, a Berlin-headquartered mobile ad tech firm, has opened for business in Singapore, which will serve as an APAC hub.

Google’s head of mobile for Southeast Asia Christian Nguyen has been hired to run the business as general manager.

Nguyen commented: “Southeast Asia is the next digital frontier with a major behavioural shift to a mobile-first society, and glispa is well positioned to help brands and app developers capitalize on this phenomenal growth. With mobile advertising set to grow to half of all digital advertising by 2020, I’m thrilled to join Glispa to lead this growth regionally.”

Nguyen was previously head of brand sales at AdMob and country sales manager for Microsoft in Singapore.

Glispa previously handled Southeast Asian business from Berlin. Gary Lin, founder and CEO, of Glispa commented: “From years of doing business in the SEA region and listening to advertisers and publishers, we understand the complexities of executing mobile marketing across these vastly different Southeast Asian markets, cultures, channels and languages and have unparalleled expertise in each market. Now is the perfect time to establish a permanent presence in the region, to further strengthen our roots there and continue to provide our SEA clients with world-class service.”
