Publicis One’s MSLGroup expands to Thailand with rebranding of Arc PR

msl2Publicis One, the global division of Publicis Group that oversees all agencies outside its top 20 countries, has expanded its MSLGroup to Thailand through the rebranding of its PR agency, Arc PR.

Arc PR Thailand, part of The Leo Burnett Group, will be now be known as MSLGroup Thailand and be led by Karl Kongkham who will take the role of director. He will continue to report to Songkran Sethesompobe, CEO of Publicis One in Thailand.

Kongkham was formerly business director at Arc Worldwide.

MSLGroup, which is Publicis Group’s global PR operation, will work in collaboration with the other Publicis One agencies in Thailand. The company said the move will “strengthen MSLGroup’s leadership in Southeast Asia, as well as elevate Publicis One’s PR expertise in Thailand”.

Arc PR, which launched in Thailand in 2004, lists P&G, Volvo, Mead Johnson and Merlin Entertainment as global clients, along with local brands PT Energy, Singha Park Chiang Rai and Boon Rawd Brewery.

Kongkham said in a statement he was “thrilled” Arc was rebranding as the MSLGroup, heralding its “game changing innovations” and “large network and resources”.

It will “continue to deliver the most efficient and creative solutions to support our clients’ business and to lead the transformation of the communication industry in Thailand,” he added.

Sethesompobe, CEO of Publicis One Thailand, said: “With MSLGroup we will provide clients with more interdependent solutions and certainly be better positioned in the market.

“I’m confident that MSLGroup will be the connector in Publicis One Thailand that moves the needle and sets a new benchmark for the industry.”

Glenn Osaki, Asia president of MSLGroup, added he had long been an admirer of Arc Thailand.

“Arc’s integrated offering and great understanding of the local market will ensure that we can provide seamless best-in-class work to local, regional and global clients and further enhance our presence and leadership in the region,” he said.

The rebranding of Arc PR is the latest expansion of the MSLGroup brand and follows similar moves in Vietnam, Sri Lanka, West Africa, The Philippines and in the Middle East. It has 34 offices Asia.
