Iris Singapore strengthens its senior management team following year of growth

irisIris Singapore has expanded its senior management team after a year of growth across Asia Pacific.

The announcement:

Following a year of client success and agency growth in Singapore and across Asia in 2016, iris Singapore is expanding its management team to ensure it can be the best partner for clients and employer for staff in the region.

Since joining iris Concise, iris’ insight, CRM and management consulting arm in August 2010, Sorcha John has had a dramatic impact on the effectiveness and impact of client’s marketing spend and business performance. Moving to Singapore in 2015 to lead the Concise for the region alongside Will Hanschell, following a year of huge success including standalone wins from Samsung and Shell, Sorcha has been promoted to the role of Managing Director for iris Singapore.

In her new role, Sorcha will be tasked with continuing the effective integration of iris’ skills across creativity, culture, commerce and consulting, supporting iris clients to participate in more meaningful and innovative ways with their audience.

Sorcha will also be tasked with finding the best creative and strategic talent to grow the agency in Singapore, and to serve evolving client needs and utilise emerging technology and platforms.

Previous MD Craig Mapleston has been promoted to a wider regional role as Chief Growth Officer. In his eight years as managing director for Singapore, he has grown the business to a diverse and award-winning agency of over 100 people. In his new position, Mapleston will be responsible for growing key iris clients around the APAC region, and look to establish new iris offices and partnerships in markets of high opportunity.

Ian Millner, CEO, iris: “Sorcha has had a profound impact on the agency in Singapore since joining – and has an incredible track record in CRM and management consulting but also, is bright, ambitious and motivated. I have no doubt she will follow on from Craig in continuing to grow an incredibly diverse and talented agency in Singapore.

“I believe iris is now starting to emerge as a genuine partner to help clients think and act in a much more progressive and innovative way at scale… while staying close to the trends, insights and issues that affect their customers locally.”

The agency will continue to grow its investment in iris Concise in Singapore under Will Hanschell, who has recently brought on Eugene Yap (from Burger King) to lead its marketing analytics team and Hitesh Bhikabhai (from Accenture) to oversee its consulting practice.
