Malaysian gymnast Farah Ann fronts new campaign for Fujifilm

Japanese digital camera brand Fujifilm has teamed up with Malaysian national gymnast Farah Ann in a new advertising campaign.

The out-of-home and online campaign to promote the brand’s X-A3 model features the gymnast using the camera to take selfies, nature shots and close-ups of animal-shaped coffee froth. Created by independent agency GOVT Kuala Lumpur, the film attempts to mirror Ann’s different personality traits with the camera’s versatile functions.

Aiming to inspire women to show their true selves through photography, the film is being shared on social media and on large screens in retail outlets throughout Malaysia.

Ann will also promote Fujifilm’s other cameras in a number of other campaigns. GOVT KL has handled the creative account for Fujifilm’s digital still cameras business since July of last year, following a three-agency pitch.
