BBH hires Red Bull’s Tim Lindley to run in-house film production unit

Bartle Bogle Hegarty Singapore has hired former Red Bull communications boss Tim Lindley to lead its in-house content production arm Black Sheep Studios.

As managing partner, Lindley will be responsible for overseeing the unit’s expansion from a content production house into a fully-fledged entertainment business. He will report to BBH Asia Pacific chief executive John Hadfield and David Webster, the managing director of the unit.

Prior to joining BBH, Lindley was with Red Bull for six years, heading up the brand’s digital communications division in London. He relocated to Singapore to lead Red Bull’s owned media and communications for Asia in January 2015.

Lindley said: “The convergence of advertising and entertainment has created a huge opportunity for brands to create stronger and more valuable connections with their audiences.”

The unit has also appointed MullenLowe Singapore’s Jonathan Gerard as head of production. Founded in 2014, Black Sheep Studios has produced work for clients including Nike, Uber, Google and most recently, Red Bull.
