Ogilvy Indonesia hires Publicis One CEO Anne Ridwan

Ogilvy & Mather Indonesia has filled its recently vacated chief executive role with Publicis One’s Anne Ridwan.

The WPP agency announced a leadership reshuffle in January, which saw the-then CEO Katryna Mojica moved to Ogilvy’s base in Hong Kong without having a replacement lined up in Jakarta.

Ridwan announced she was stepping down from Publicis One’s leadership, a title she held for a year, earlier this week. The agency’s chief creative officer Brian Capel was named as her replacement, taking on the dual-role of CCO and CEO.

Ridwan joined Leo Burnett in 2012 as managing director of Alpha245 and was promoted to the role of group CEO of Leo Burnett, Publicis One and Saatchi & Saatchi for Indonesia in 2015.

She said: “Brand Communications is my passion, and I know I will be working with friends and colleagues from various areas of domain expertise with the same passion.”

Ogilvy Asia Pacific co-CEO Kent Wertime added: “Anne is ideally suited to leading a very capable and diverse team that we have.  We see Indonesia is undoubtedly one of the most important growth markets in the world, and Anne brings a combination of leadership, strategic, and creative skills to the agency.

“Plus, as an Indonesian leader, Anne will help drive our evolution in-step with the changing needs of our staff and our clients in Indonesia.”
