UM Korea MD Sungwon Gong steps down after 17 years

The leadership of media agency UM Korea is to change hands as the managing director Sungwon Gong steps down after 17 years.

Gong will move into the role of chairman as the agency’s head of product and 24-year industry veteran MJ Kim takes over as MD.

Kim first joined the IPG Mediabrands-owned agency in 2007 as director of media planning, before serving as UM general manager for three years.  Her new appointment as MD will be effective from August 1.

Korea.”
