When Australians think about Asia
Some in Asia might believe that Australians are somewhat semi-detached when it comes to enthusiastically being a part of the region.
Australian television does not help matters, with commercial network Nine this week misplacing the Philippines by about 2,500 kilometres.
According to the broadcaster’s nightly show A Current Affair, the Philippines appear to be smeared across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
