Dr Mumbo

The ‘Holy Communion’ snack: Heavenly branding?

The mid-afternoon slump is sadly one of those grim realities in the working world and one of the reasons why Dr Mumbo can’t help but reach for the pack of Digestives once the clock hits three in order to prop himself up.

However, in the era whereby eating anything above 10 calories is regarded as something of a sin, Dr M has been looking for some alternatives to meet these newly-accepted societal norms. You know what with cholesterol and all that.

Therefore, it was much to his delight to come across this supposedly sinless snack: Holy Communion Elements.

Yes indeed, containing 50 wafer-like biscuits with pots of grape juice, the product seems to be well targeted at those seeking a spiritual cleanse to go with the detox diet.

And the product even comes with a passage from Corinthians: “Eat, take: this is my body, which is broken for you.”

However, it seems for some, Holy Communion Elements may have missed the mark with its branding.

Heavens above.
