Chiew Ling Tan named director of talent and operations at 72andSunny Singapore

72andSunny has hired Chiew Ling Tan as director of talent and operations for its newest office, 72andSunny Singapore.

As one of the agency’s first employees, Tan will work alongside Johnny Tan (executive creative director, APAC), Chris Kay (managing director, partner APAC), Mollie Hill (director of strategy) and her counterpart in the Sydney office, Ngaio McCreadie (director of talent and operations) to develop the right talent recruitment strategy. She will also develop the processes needed to attain operational excellence in Asia.

“Chiewy is super smart, hyper connected, culturally astute, and I can’t wait to see how her wealth of experience, entrepreneurial drive, and all-round good human-ness are going to help shape who we are in the region,” said Kay.

Prior to joining 72andSunny Singapore, Tan helped open two China offices, one for BBH China in 2005 and then one for The Secret Little Agency China in 2016. Her entrepreneurial spirit has also led her to co-found a fashion boutique called nana & bird in 2011.

“I am looking forward to building a diverse pool of talent for 72andSunny in Singapore and establishing an agency environment where great creative work will thrive,” said Tan.
