Aegis Media’s digital network Isobar has promoted Hong Kong office boss Chris Ryan to executive director of international clients.

He will relocate to Singapore, Isobar’s regional hub.

Now running Isobar’s Hong Kong agency is David Jessop, who moves from business director to the role of MD.

The announcement:

(Hong Kong) Isobar has announced the promotion of Chris Ryan to Executive Director, International Clients, Isobar APAC to build the momentum of the agency’s international client development across the region. Chris will focus on strengthening Isobar’s regional client service hub in Singapore, following the acquisition of TUS Isobar early last year. As a key leader in Isobar’s APAC management team, Chris will relocate to Singapore and continue reporting to Jean Lin, CEO of Isobar APAC and Global Chief Strategy Officer.

Succeeding Chris in his former role of CEO of Isobar Hong Kong, David Jessop has been promoted to Managing Director of Isobar Hong Kong. Having spent the past two years as Business Director for the agency, David has played an instrumental role in driving client growth and stability for Isobar Hong Kong, expanding the full-service reputation of the agency, and adding an impressive portfolio of clients.

“Isobar Hong Kong has gone from strength to strength over the past few years, with no small part played by David. He has a great business mind, and is the ideal person to lead the agency in its next chapter of growth and success. I have no doubt that I am leaving our Hong Kong office in strong and capable hands,” said Chris.

“At Isobar we really believe in and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in our people, so I’m thrilled that Chris and David have chosen to embark on new journeys, within the Isobar network. At the same time, we are seeing an increasing alignment of regional business among current and potential international clients. With changes in the way our clients operate, it is vital for Isobar to provide the leadership and aggregation of talent to meet our clients’ needs,” said Jean.

Chris has been part of the Isobar network for the past five years, as CEO of the Hong Kong office and International Client Director for Isobar APAC. Prior to that, he spent 15 years working in digital and through the line agencies in London.

David joined Isobar from JWT two years ago, where he was Digital Lead and Head of XM Hong Kong.

He has over 16 years of marketing experience, 14 of which have been digitally focussed.
