Wunderman switches Australia-New Zealand reporting lines to Asia Pacific (again)

Now running ANZ: Stefan Faggianelli

Now running ANZ (again): Faggianelli

WPP direct agency Wunderman has announced it is moving its reporting structure for Australia and New Zealand to Asia Pacific – three years after announcing a similar move.

Back in 2010, Wunderman switched management of its Melbourne and Sydney offices out of sibling agency Y&R to Hong Kong, where regional president Stephane Faggianelli was located.

Now in a new announcement, the agency has said that its Australia and New Zealand operations are to report directly into Singapore regional HQ – where Faggianelli is now based – after the exit of Sydney MD Jo Lloyd.

Wunderman was unavailable for comment on why essentially the same information – Australia reporting into APAC – had been put out twice in three years.

Lloyd leaves Wunderman after an eight-year stint – and no replacement to run the Sydney office is being sought. It is unclear why Lloyd is leaving.

However, the agency is looking to create a new role of head of Australia and New Zealand. The new role follows the acquisition of Bienalto, an Australian digital optimisation and analytics firm, in December last year.
