Dentsu reports new business wins in Thailand

The Thai subsidiaries of Japanese advertising giant Dentsu, Dentsu Plus and Dentsu Media Thailand, have announced a number of new business wins as the companies celebrate their tenth anniversary in the kingdom.

SINGAPORE/BANGKOK – 30 May 2013: Dentsu Network/Asia today announced a number of local wins in Thailand as two of its brands celebrate ten years in the country. Dentsu Plus and Dentsu Media Thailand were set up in May 2003, while Dentsu has been present in Thailand since 1974. This milestone comes soon after Dentsu Plus announced the acquisition of Thai brand consultancy Brandscape in order to extend its brand identity capabilities and transition into an integrated and distinctive hybrid agency.

Recent wins over the last three months by Dentsu Plus include AP Honda, Grohe, Nissin, and Pruxsa Real Estate. At the same time, Dentsu Media Thailand bagged deals with AIS, Sharp, Bio Consumer, and Panasonic through its divisions Media Palette, Media Cubic, Media Matrix, and Dentsu 360. The wins span project briefs as well as agency-of-record partnerships for total billings exceeding US$22 million in value. This adds to an existing portfolio of clients such as Honda and Unicharm for Dentsu Plus and Toyota, Ajinomoto, Ichitan, and Scotch for Dentsu Media Thailand.

Dentsu Plus was founded in 2003 as a new-line brand agency under Dentsu Network/Asia, with the aim of being a cutting-edge integrated communication design provider for its clients. It has shown double-digit growth in recent years. Dentsu Plus is a one-stop solution for clients and combines the design and creative capabilities of Dentsu Plus Design Ninja with the branding expertise of Brandscape.

Dentsu Media Thailand was set up in the same year, as the media agency arm of Dentsu Inc. Its agency divisions Media Palette, Media Cubic, and Media Matrix offer high quality integrated solutions to advertisers, while Dentsu 360 focuses on content, digital, and new business development.

In addition, Dentsu Thailand also announced new additions to its portfolio with Converse and Kameda. Dentsu Thailand has been present in Thailand for 39 years, offering a comprehensive range of communications solutions to its clients. Dentsu is committed to developing and nurturing talent and today employs close to 500 staff in the Kingdom across its three businesses.

Dentsu’s subsidiaries in Thailand have also been recognized by the industry for their outstanding work. Dentsu Thailand most recently won a Silver Lotus at Adfest 2013 for its work with Uniqlo, while Dentsu Plus won a Bronze Lotus for its work with Garmin GPS. Dentsu Media Thailand was awarded the Silver Award at AdMan 2012 for the Innovative Use of Media for its work with BBQ Plaza, and was also shortlisted at the Cannes Lions 2012 for the same.
