Pitch doctor Darren Woolley to chair APAC categories at Mumbrella Awards

Mumbrella Awards 2013 logoPitch doctor Darren Woolley is to chair the captain for two newly introduced Asia-Pacific categories at the Mumbrella Awards this year.

Woolley, founder of TrinityP3, which has bases in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand, will steward the judging process for the APAC creative network of the year and the APAC media network of the year. Like last year, the juries are being chaired by Mark Buckman, chief marketing officer and executive director of digital content services and IPTV at Australian telco giant Telstra.

Last year’s major winners included Sydney-based independent Match being named media agency of the year, Eleven PR agency of the year and Clemenger BBDO Melbourne creative agency of the year. The media sales team of the year was Adshel.

The event is to follow the Mumbrella 360 conference, which this year has a stream on Asia created with the support of strategic partner Destination NSW and Vivid Sydney.

Tickets are available for professionals outside of Australia at a special rate of $990 for a one day conference ticket, including the Mumbrella Awards dinner.

The awards are to be hosted at The Star in Sydney on Thursday 6 June. The Star Event Centre opened at the beginning of this year as part of an $870m refurbishment of the casino complex.

The Mumbrella Awards will be followed by an after party at The Star’s Cherry cocktail lounge sponsored by REA Media.

Tickets for tables at the awards officially go on sale on May 20. Anyone wanting to reserve a table should email event producer Denise Jinks denise@focalattractions.com.au.DNSWLogo
