Dr Mumbo

The worst Pond’s ad ever?

Dr Mumbo is himself prone to making the occasional spelling mistake.

But beauty brand Pond’s has taken spelling blunders to a spectacular new low, getting the name wrong of their very own brand ambassador on the front page of a national newspaper.

Pond's print ad

It’s Navneet Kaur Dhillon, not Navneet Kaur Dhillion – a rogue ‘i’ has somehow snuck in.

But if only that was that only howler in the ad.

The error-strewn advertorial got so far up the nose of former Campaign India editor Anant Rangaswami that he decided to pick out every single error in the copy and blog about it.

He counts 16 of them.

This must have taken him some time. No wonder by the time he was finished he declared that this was the worst Pond’s ad ever made in India.
