Aegis brings back Jin Choi to run iProspect Korea

Christel QuekAegis Media’s search agency iProspect has appointed Jin Choi to run the agency.

Choi’s hire marks a return to Aegis Media for the executive. He was previously GM of Aegis Media’s digital agency Isobar Korea and led the integrated business development team.

Ruth Harlow, head of iProspect Asia Pacific, said in a statement: “Our Korean business is maturing very quickly. Over the past 12 months we have witnessed the market present opportunities in Search and Performance Marketing that were previously somewhat restricted due to the overwhelming dominance of Naver.

“As Google starts to gain traction, international brands demand more globally aligned deliverables. Combine this with the relaxing of strict accreditation regulations and we are witnessing a new air of competition and innovation. Jin has returned to Aegis Media to drive iProspect forward. He is a passionate brand advocate for iProspect Korea as we actively drive Global brands into the market.”

Choi added: “I’m excited to be back with iProspect Korea. Being one of the founding members who helped launch iProspect Korea in 2008, the brand means a lot to me. I believe iProspect Korea can lead the market not only for SEO and SEM, but also create a ‘data driven marketing’ service with our discerning knowledge in that area, which will definitely be a new market for us.”
