Google World Wide Maze and Missing Children app are Asia’s top nominations for Mobile Lions

A Missing Children mobile search application from China and Japan’s World Wide Maze for Google have each secured three nominations for Mobile Lions Awards in Cannes.

The Missing Children app created by JWT Beijing for the ‘Baby Back Home’ Volunteers Association is up for three award categories: Augmented Mobile Experience, Best Integrated Campaign led by mobile, and the Mobile Lions Award for Charities, Not for Profit and Public Information.

And the Google World Wide Maze by Party Tokyo in Japan is shortlisted for awards in the Networked Mobile Technology, Services on Tablets and Other Devices, and Interface and Navigation categories.

The Penguin Navi campaign Sunshine Aquarium created by Hakuhodo Tokyo for Sunshine City Corporation received two nominations, as did Ogilvy and Mather Singapore’s Old Phones Give New Life campaign for Singtel Project Silverline.

Of the 101 entries shortlisted for Mobile Lions, 10 of the entries are from agencies in Japan, eight are from China, and four from Singapore.

Thailand and The Philippines each received one nomination.
