No joy for Asia in the print Young Lions

Asia missed out in the Young Lions print competition today, a category the region has traditionally excelled in – last year Singapore claimed gold.

Asia was represented this year by China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Korea.

Donald Tse and Natalie Lee from Publicis represented Hong Kong, Yukari Ota and Masako Wakigawa from Dentsu Tec represented Japan while Dongmei Lu and Wenkai from Interactive Internet Advertising Committee flew the flag for China.

Singapore was represented by Paulo Reynaldo Agulto and Pimwadee Lai from Saatchi & Saatchi. Korea’s chances were in the hands of Eui Young Kim and Wonjoon Cheong from Innocean.

Mexico claimed gold, although the winners did not show up for the awards ceremony – so jury chairman Marcello Serpa had to pick up the award on their behalf.

France took silver. The Netherlands won bronze.
