Leo Burnett Indonesia hires ‘logic meets magic’ head of strategy from PR agency

Henry ManampiringLeo Burnett has hired an executive from a PR agency to head up its strategic offering in Indonesia.

Henry Manampiring joins the agency as head of strategy from Edelman, where he was a brand and corporate strategist.

On Manampiring’s LinkedIn profile, he states that his role – which is a newly created position at the agency – is “in that zone where consulting meets daydreaming, and logic meets magic.”

In a diverse career in market research and advertising, Manampiring has worked client side at British American Tobacco and Coca-Cola, in advertising agencies Lowe and JWT and at research agency Millward Brown.

Saurabh Varma, Leo Burnett APAC’s chief strategy officer said that Manampiring’s appointment shows a willingness for the agency to develop an integrated strategic offering for account planning, shopper, digital and other services.

We believe this role is critical in our ambition to create impact and results for our clients’ brands, as well as develop ideas which works across channels and ultimately leads to populism in the markets.”
