MediaCorp takes magazines digital for 30 per cent less than print editions

FHM Singapore coverSingapore publisher MediaCorp has launched digital editions of a number of its magazines.

8 Day, FHM, I-Weekly, Style: and Style: Living, Mother & Baby and Manja are now available on the platform Magzter – for around 30 per cent less than their print versions.

The titles are available on iPhone, Android and Windows 8 smartphones, tablets and on web browsers.

Prices range from S$57 (US$45) for a 12 month digital subscription for 20 issues of 8 Days, to S$2.50 (US$2) for a single edition of Manja.

MediaCorp told Mumbrella that none of the print editions of these magazine would be folding to make way for digital versions.

The publisher, Singapore’s second largest after Singapore Press Holdings, launched Style: and Style: Living as apps on iTunes in 2011.

Jessie Sng, MD of MediaCorp’s publishing arm said in a statement: “To meet the needs of increasingly sophisticated readers constantly on the move, we’re thrilled that our magazines are now available digitally for instant access anytime, anywhere.”

“Whether they’re fashion/lifestyle tips or the latest in celeb news, our readers can now have another avenue for ready access to our quality content,” she said.
