Start-up Cream wins Unilever brief in Cambodia

A new ad agency set up in IndoChina six months ago has won a place on the Unilever roster.

The agency, called Cream Communications and started by former Bates executive Brenden Arnold, has picked up creative duties for oral hygiene brand Close Up after pitch against incumbent River Orchid.

Arnold, who is the agency’s CEO, said: “We’re delighted with the win – it’s a huge feat to win a place on the Unilever roster. We’re very proud of what we’ve achieved and it caps off an incredible first six months of business for us and our 100% pitch success rate is still intact”.

Maks Mukundan, MD of Unilever Indochina, added: “Cream presented unique and compelling thinking, we’re genuinely looking forward to working with them – they offered a fresh perspective to engage with the target consumers.”

After Arnold left Bates, he co-founded XONE FM, the commercial hits FM radio station in Vietnam. He began his career at Leo Burnett and has spent the last 15 years in Asia.
