NatGeo to air series about haunted Asia

I Wouldn't Go ThereNational Geographic Channel Asia is launching a new pan-Asian TV series about haunted parts of the region.

Called I Wouldn’t Go In There, the 10-part series is hosted by blogger Robert Joe as he travels to Hong Kong, Japan, The Philippines, Malaysia and Taiwan in search of ghosts.

The show, which is part of Fox International’s strategy to produce more local content, is scheduled to launch in Hong Kong and Southeast Asia on 23 August.

The show was produced by InFocus Asia.

Mark Francis, VP of production and development, Asia-Pacific, for Fox International Channels, said: “I Wouldn’t Go In There is an original idea that we developed internally at the channel and it’s the first of a new breed of stylish, contemporary factual programmes made out of our region.”

“We believe our viewers will appreciate how it puts a fresh spin on the popular mystery and history genres while delivering the insightful narratives National Geographic Channel is known for,” he said.
