Singapore’s Ministry of Education has put out an alert warning students about a Facebook ad campaign for an online university degree firm that it claims is falsely representing the MOE and using its logo.

The Straits Times reported today that the Facebook ads “appear to be for an online degree mill”.

The ad for bestprofessionaldegrees.com reads: “Approved by the Singapore Ministry of Education & US Department of Education. Enroll Now.”

The MOE’s logo is being used “without authorisation by ads on Facebook that claim to offer degrees approved by MOE”, the ministry posted on its Facebook page.

No classes are needed to get a degree with bestprofessionaldegrees.com as “prior knowledge and life experiences can be converted to a degree”, the ST is reporting.
