Ad agency network BBDO is moving the ECD of its Shanghai agency to Hong Kong to lead its South China creative offering.

Kevin Lynch leaves Shanghai after a year as ECD of Energy BBDO, moving into the role of ECD for BBDO South China.

He replaces Vincent Pang, who left BBDO South China to return to his native Malaysia in August.

Lynch’s move from Shanghai will mean Kit Koh takes on the position as ECD of Energy Shanghai, and Awoo LAI shifts to ECD of BBDO Shanghai.

Lynch will report to BBDO South China managing director JC Catibog, who said: “This is an exciting time of growth for us. Kevin’s global experience paired with his unique creative viewpoint will greatly enhance the work we do for our clients.”

“It’s terrific to have someone of Kevin’s calibre continue our tradition of doing famous and loved work for the important brands we have in Guangzhou and Hong Kong,” said Carol Potter, president and CEO, BBDO and Proximity Greater China.”

Before moving to Shanghai, Lynch was ECD of Energy BBDO in Chicago.
