Edelman launches research arm in China

PR agency Edelman has launched a research and analytics consultancy in Greater China.

Edelman Berland Greater China will be run by Fergus Clarke, who has relocated from the agency’s Abu Dhabi office to Hong Kong to lead the new offering.

David Brain, president and CEO of Edelman Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, said: “The addition of Edelman Berland’s expertise in China means a significant upgrade in our ability to provide real-time analytics, benchmarking and insights, which in turn drives better programming and creative for clients.”

“Fergus is the first of many in what will be both a stand-alone business and a service offering to our PR and digital teams,” he said.

At Edelman Berland in Abu Dhabi, Clarke ran the South Asia, Middle East and Africa regions. Before joining Edelman Berland two years ago, Clarke spent seven years with the Kantar Group, working in Hong Kong and London.
