Omnicom Media Group hires Jonathan Mackenzie as first regional head of social media

Omnicom Media Group has appointed its first regional head of social media.

Jonathan Mackenzie, director of digital strategy at OMD International, has taken on the role, and will report to Lee Smith, CEO platforms, Omnicom Media Group, Asia Pacific.

Mackenzie – also known as Jo Mack – will be based in Singapore.

Smith said in a press release: “We have always been doing great work in the space, and we have been chasing a very wide service offering for a while now.”

“We are getting much better focused in the right areas (especially integrated strategy) and there is nobody better suited to lead the next phase than Jo Mack,” he said.
