Trend Micro and Call Journey hire Bench PR

IT security firm Trend Micro and communications provider Call Journey have hired Melbourne-based PR agency Bench.

The announcement:

Melbourne, 18th September 2013:  BENCH PR has expanded its security and cloud portfolios with the addition of global security company Trend Micro and leading Australian communications provider Call Journey to its growing client list.

The announcement comes shortly after the agency announced it had secured the contract to manage all PR activity across the APAC region for NetIQ, Novell, SUSE and Attachmate in addition to Australia and New Zealand.

Trend Micro develops internet content security and threat management solutions that make the world safe for businesses and consumers to exchange digital information. The company employs over 1200 threat experts around the world.  BENCH PR is assisting the Trend Micro commercial team to raise awareness of its enterprise services to a decision making audience across Australia and New Zealand, including security offerings to cloud service provider customers.

“We chose BENCH not only for their IT security expertise and their excellent media relationships, but because I’ve worked with them before and was impressed by their professionalism and proactivity. I’m so pleased to be working with them again and they’ve already achieved some fantastic results for us,” said Rachel-Ann Wicks, Commercial Marketing Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Trend Micro Pty.

The second company BENCH PR has signed up is Call Journey, which provides cloud based software that records, delivers and reports on all important calls. Established in Melbourne in 2009, Call Journey has grown rapidly in Australia and has more than 1500 customers, including Westpac, Telstra and various government departments.

Mr Andrew Lamrock, Director of Business Intelligence, Call Journey comments: “We contacted BENCH PR as their reputation in the IT market is well-known. We’re working with them to educate businesses in Australia about the benefits of ‘doing more with calls’, enabling organisations to extract valuable information from their customer conversations. We’ve also got big plans for our expansion into Asia later this year, so we’re looking forward to working with BENCH PR to help us do that.”

BENCH PR also represents Zendesk, providers of cloud based customer service software across the APAC region and Vend, providers of cloud based POS software. BENCH PR was commended at the 2012 PRIA Golden Target Awards in the B2B Marketing category for its ‘Xero – The Small Business Hero’ campaign and listed by the PR Report as the 7th fastest growing PR agency in Australia.
