Aegis Media hires WPP’s Phil Teeman to run China as CEO

Phil TeemanAegis Media has a new CEO in China.

KF Lee, who has been CEO for the last eight years, is moving into a role as chairwoman. And coming in as CEO is Phil Teeman from WPP’s Blue Hive unit in London.

The announcement from Aegis:

28 October 2013, Singapore:  Nick Waters, CEO of Aegis Media Asia Pacific, today announced the appointment of Phil Teeman as CEO of Aegis Media China, based in Shanghai. He joins the company from WPP’s Blue Hive unit in London where he was part of the global management team running the media and account planning for Ford Motor Co.

Phil has over 20 years’ media agency experience leading assignments for some of the world’s largest advertisers. Prior to joining Blue Hive, Phil led Mindshare’s global Unilever assignment, looking after the account for over five years.

After 8 years as CEO of China, KF Lee will take on the role as Chairwoman overseeing the business across Aegis Media’s largest market in Asia.

These appointments are scheduled to take effect Q1 2014.
