Fox unveils second season of Asia’s Next Top Model

Asia's next top modelFox International Channels has announced the second season of Asia’s Next Top Model.

The reality show, which is an adaptation of America’s Next Top Model, will run over 13 episodes, following the fortunes of 16 modeling hopefuls from 12 countries.

The show will run on Star World and will be hosted by Nadya Hutagalung with Joey Mead King as a mentor. It premieres at 9:40 pm HKT on 8 January 2014.

Sponsors for this season include Subaru and TRESemme, which supported the first season, and new brands YTL Corp, Malaysia Airlines, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore and Malaysia.

It was produced by Active TV and was shot in Malaysia.

The first season drew a regional viewership of 39m.

“Following Asia’s Next Top Model Season 1’s great success, with an impressive viewership of 39 million people, we are confident that Season 2 will perform just as well, if not better,” said Simeon Dawes, SVP of advertising sales and Partnerships, Asia Pacific and Middle East at FOX One Stop Media.
