Starcom hires Endemol’s Olivier Gers to lead branded content arm Liquid Thread
Media agency Starcom MediaVest Group has appointed a new global president of its content division Liquid Thread.
Olivier Gers joins Liquid Thread from production company Endemol, where he was CEO of the worldwide brands division based in London.
He joins with a brief to build the global Liquid Thread business and look for opportunities with brands, production studios, networks and distributors.
Gers will report to Brian Terkelsen, CEO of MediaVest, who will continue to oversee Liquid Thread in addition to his MediaVest role.
Gers’ prior roles include GM of FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide and SVP of IMG Worldwide.
Terkelsen said in a press release: “At Starcom MediaVest, we are passionate about new content possibilities, new ways of telling brand stories in new places, and new platforms and emerging technologies that will change how our clients inform, engage—and even befriend—their audience.”
