Stride with pride, W Hong Kong
Dr Mumbo is pleased to note that W Hong Kong has made it on to a list of the top hotels in China, as adjudged by Condé Nast Traveler and its esteemed readers. An honour, indeed. One day, when Dr Mumbo has won the lottery, he might consider staying there.
But he’s somewhat puzzled as to why, in a press release to crow about its achievement, the hotel has chosen to link to the Urban Dictionary to explain to journalists what ‘crème de la crème’ means.
STRIDE WITH PRIDE, SERVE WITH SINCERITY
W Hong Kong has been named one of the “Top 40 Hotels in China” by leading travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler
in this year’s “Readers’ Choice Awards”Dazzling the buzzing Hong Kong in its own incredibly stylish and sassy way, W Hong Kong has recently been crowned “Top 40 Hotels in China” by Condé Nast Traveler, one of the most authoritative travel magazines worldwide.
Each year to applaud the crème de la crème <http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=creme%20de%20la%20creme> in the hospitality industry, Condé Nast Traveler invites its readers to rate the world’s most celebrated cities and islands, hotels and resorts, cruise ships and airlines by participating in the Readers’ Choice survey.
And here is the Urban Dictionary’s definition, which Dr Mumbo suspects is not the definition Condé Nast Traveler or its readers had in mind.
1. creme de la creme
2. creme de la creme
J: naw, i think i’ma creme de la creme this bitch.
