Host Singapore boss Dan Gibson handed expanded role running Havas Worldwide

Picture 4Dan Gibson, the boss of Host Singapore, has moved into a new group role running both Host and sister agency Havas Worldwide Singapore.

Gibson was installed as the founding MD of Host Singapore when the Sydney-based agency launched a Pacific network earlier this year.

Since launching the agency, Gibson has helped the agency win clients including SMRT, Unilever, Top Shop and Google.

Host sold a majority stake to Havas in July 2011.

Anthony Freedman, the regional CEO of Host, said in a press release: “Dan’s expanded role is testament to the great job he has done at Host over the last year.”

“I strongly believe that with Dan now able to leverage the relative strengths of both brands within Singapore, Host will be well positioned to build on an excellent first year.”

Naomi Troni, Havas Worldwide’s Southeast Asia CEO, added: ‘We have focused this year on integrated planning and channel communications for international clients, with Havas Worldwide Singapore now an APAC hub for a range of global brands including Air France, Credit Suisse, Merck, Seagate and Total. We are excited for Dan to now lead Havas Worldwide Singapore to the next level of growth”.

Gibson was previously with Ogilvy Singapore before he was appointed to lead Host Singapore in October 2012.
