DDB Singapore’s ‘Scott Parker’, talent director Jimmy Yar, moves on after nine years

Jimmy YarAfter nine years with DDB Singapore, the ad agency’s director of operations and talent development Jimmy Yar is moving on.

In an email to his contacts, Yar wrote: “Time to seek a new chapter.”

Yar joined DDB Singapore in 2004 as an account manager from local agency Mandate. He progressed through the agency’s account management ranks to business director of DDB’s digital arm Tribal in 2008. He became director of operations and talent development in January 2011.

DDB Singapore boss David Tang told Mumbrella: “Jimmy is a terrific horse who has been with us for 9 years. We’re supporting him to take to his new ‘social art’ venture, so we’re lucky to have him in our stable still.”

“I don’t think we can quite replace Jimmy, it’s like trying to replace the tireless Scott Parker [the England footballer],” Tang added.

Yar is currently “Seeking the next talent agenda”, according to his LinkedIn profile.
