Havas Worldwide Singapore parts ways with creative chief Victor Ng

Victor NgVictor Ng, the chief creative officer at Havas Worldwide Singapore, is leaving the agency.

Ng is leaving to pursue a career in social enterprise, according to Havas, and brings to an end his second stint with the creative agency.

He first joined Havas in 2008, then moved to DDB Shanghai, then back to Havas in February 2012.

His departure comes soon after the arrival of creative pairing Greg Rawson and Ross Fowler at Havas Worldwide sister agency Host Singapore, but the agency has said Ng’s departure is unrelated. Ng would be helping the agency “during its transition to new creative leadership”, Havas has said.

Juan Rocamora, chairman of Havas Worldwide Asia-Pacific said: “Victor is a great talent, and I’m proud and happy of having brought him back to Havas after his time in Shanghai. I want to express my heartfelt thanks for his contribution to Havas having done two tours of duty with us.”

“For both the periods, he has been a key member of our team and I for one do not write off the possibility of a third one in the future. I understand and respect his desire to, at a key time of his career, wanting to venture into the world of social enterprise and I am thankful he has made sure the agency is firing all cylinders before moving on. I wish Vic all success in his new endeavours and look forward to our next stint together, whenever and wherever it may be,” he said.

Ng said: “Those around me know I’ve always been a believer of creating positive social change. After two years of learning from Juan and working closely with several great management partners, I feel this is the right time to step out of my comfort zone to do something uniquely meaningful. Havas has a special place in my heart, and I’ll always be a friend and fan of those who have made my journey with them so memorable.”
