The global boss of digital agency Isobar is stepping down, and the Asia Pacific CEO Jean Lin is taking his place.

Mark Cranmer moves from CEO to chairman after five years running the Aegis Media-owned digital agency and will later leave the company. Lin, who was global chief strategy officer and APAC CEO, moves into Cranmer’s role and will be based in Shanghai.

Lin is the second person in one day to claim a global role in Asia. Mindshare’s Pete Mitchell emerged as global media innovation director at Mondelēz International based in Singapore this morning.

Cranmer will support Lin in the first months of her role, before leaving at the end of June 2014.

Jerry Buhlmann, CEO Dentsu Aegis Network said:  “Jean is one of our most talented leaders and I am delighted to appoint her to the role of Global CEO Isobar. Jean’s appointment is the natural next step, having made stunning progress in developing her own business, and then Isobar, across Taiwan, China and the Asia Pacific region.”

“Under Jean’s leadership in Asia Pacific Isobar has become one of the most awarded digital agencies. Jean will bring her own creative talent, integrity and energy to the role and I know has ambitious plans for Isobar going forward,” he said.
