Max Factor launches contest to find China’s most beautiful women wearing pollution masks

Max Factor stuntProcter & Gamble cosmetics brand Max Factor is running a competition on social network Sina Weibo to find Chinese women who look the most beautiful while wearing anti-smog face masks.

The campaign launches as China faces worsening air pollution in its cities, with fewer people venturing outside without wearing particulate filtering face masks.

The contest, titled ‘Smog busters’, invites Chinese women to upload images of their best eye make-up look while wearing an air filtration mask.

The winners get Max Factor products and will be featured in an edition of Marie Claire China magazine.

The campaign is running as P&G sister brand Head & Shoulders faces pressure from green group Greenpeace over its palm oil sourcing practices in Indonesia.
