Scoot offers inflight hot yoga classes for April Fools

Scoot stuntIn another April Fool’s announcement, budget airline Scoot is claiming to offer its customers inflight hot yoga classes.

In a statement, the airline said that its Boeing 777-200 wide-body planes are so spacious that they make it possible to hold hot yoga classes on its TZ 220 flights from Singapore to Hong Kong.

The free classes are available on a limited one-month trial, the airline has said.

Scoot April foolYoga instructors from Singapore studio Bikram Yoga Katong would be on hand to assist with the class “to assist, guide – and untie – if needed.”

The yoga area is separated by the plane’s bulkheads, which means the  class “will not affect the comfort of guests in other areas of the aircraft,” the airline said.

Campbell Wilson, the company’s CEO, said in a media release: “We all love a good stretch during flight so, following the success of our ScootInSilence child-free cabin, Scoot is delighted to launch the YogaZone! The Scoot YogaZone uses our aptly-named s-t-r-e-t-c-h seats’ 38” legroom to their fullest, enabling you to really get a full body workout whilst zooming to your destination.”

“What’s more, we’ll even cater to the Bikram enthusiasts by ramping up a small part of the cabin to 40.6 C for 60 minutes during flight, just like your own yoga studio’s hot room,” he said.
