BBDO’s Rajdeepak Das is the new creative chief of Leo Burnett India

Rajdeepak DasLeo Burnett’s Indian operation has appointed a new chief creative officer following the exit of KV Sridhar, whose departure emerged last week.

Rajdeepak Das brings to an end more than five years as ECD of BBDO to take the CCO role.

Das will oversee Leo Burnett’s creative output across its Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore and Chennai offices, and will report to new agency boss Saurabh Varma.

Jarek Ziebinski, president of Leo Burnett Asia Pacific, said: “The appointment of Raj and his partnership with Saurabh represents a new beginning and milestone for Leo Burnett India. India’s growing importance as an economic force on the world stage and its rapid change from a traditionally print and TV dominated market to one that will see online ad market reach USD 1.12 billion next year are key indicators of transformation in our clients’ businesses.”

“We are focused on ensuring that Leo Burnett is at the forefront of this change, with the agility to meet the needs of today’s marketers,” he said.

Before joining BBDO India, Das spent four years working in BBDO’s Bangkok office.
