Ogilvy HK unveils print ads for Faber-Castell

Ogilvy work for Faber-CastellOgilvy & Mather has announced the launch of a print ad campaign for Faber-Castell’s new pencil collection, Graphite Aquarelle, in Hong Kong.

The work, drawn by artist Redmer Hoekstra, illustrates the pencil’s “quiet power”, according to a press release.

Each sketch shows a two-dimensional world, with an object above water and a watercolour scene beneath the surface.

Ogilvy HK print adThe agency claims that the work will run in-store and in “selected” out-of-home locations around Hong Kong, as well as online.

“The juxtaposition of two worlds allows us to demonstrate the pencil’s dual power,” Nicoletta Stefanidou, OgilvyOne Hong Kong’s CD said.

“Working alongside Redmer Hoekstra, we have brought Graphite Aquarelle to life, with remarkable artwork. It’s not often that you’re able to literally use the product to create the ad,” she said.

Ogilvy also says the campaign is running in print, and has appeared in a recent edition of English-language freesheet The Standard.
